2017 Southampton Boat Show Guide30th August 2017
If you’re looking for a world class boat show hosted in Europe’s only purpose-built show marina, there’s only one place to go this September. The Southampton Boat Show is a stunning annual event that attracts international exhibitors, investors and visitors, and runs 15th – 24th September, 2017.
Fashion and lifestyle entrepreneur, Millie Mackintosh, known for her role in reality TV show Made In Chelsea, opens the show on 15th September at 11am. Her appearance marks 10 days of non-stop fun by day and shoreside partying by night.
Visitors can look forward to a free mini-cruise, a tour on The Tall Ship Kaskelot, a show by CBBC pirate, Gemma Hunt, as well as many other activities. Out on the water you can enjoy kids sailing workshops, paddle boarding experiences and bumper boats. For adults, there’s all of the above, with the added bonus of street food, fine dining, champagne bars and live music.
Exhibitors include associations and clubs, as well as retailers offering boat repairs, boat transport, canoes, clothing, dinghies, electronics, furniture and galley equipment, kayaks, outboards and inboards, RIBS, sails, sailing boats and much more.
The Tall Ship Kaskelot is the main attraction for families and non-exhibitors. Commissioned in 1948, Kaskelot is a traditional wooden barque and one of the few remaining large wooden ships still sailing. After a state-of-the-art restoration, she’s been returned to her original condition and is crewed by a knowledgeable team who can tell you about every aspect of her history.
The 2017 Southampton Boat Show is sure to be like no other, with a remarkable lineup of attractions, interactive exhibits, the latest nautical innovations, global launches and expert talks. There are over 500+ exhibitors on land and sea, so why not come down to the best boat show of 2017?
